South-East Asia Cruise - Singapore, April 2010

Our first port of call was Singapore. While our fellow passangers toured the city, our trio of intrepid travellers had a busy schedule. First, we visited Eric's office to pick up some documents from the Human Resources department. Then, we met with Mel, our real estate agent, who had planned for us to see five apartments.

It was amazing (in a scary way) how small the apartments were! Downsizing from a 2000+ square feet house to a 1300 square foot "shoe box" would be challenging! We saw a couple places that were almost meeting our requirements, but when you sign a two year contract, you really want to be sure you will enjoy living there.

E and I caught a shuttle bus back to the cruise ship while Eric hurried to his appointment at MoM (Ministry of Manpower). He needed to lodge some documents for our work and residency permits.

The run through the city made me feel good about our decision to make Singapore our home for some time. Please visit the blog again when we have settled in our new home for pictures of Singapore.
